SETUP information (see also atp.doc and readme.dos)
Your taglines.atp and atprc belong in your home directory.
Alternatively, you can setup another directory by setting the
environment variable ATP to point somewhere else.
Edit atprc to tell ATP about your editor, file archiver and other
options.
Suggested settings for the atprc variables "charset" and "graphics":
Table 1. Character Set Options for atprc Variables
---------------------------------------------------
| charset | graphics
| |
Linux | latin1 | on
| |
386bsd | msdos | off
| |
VT100 | 7bit | on
| |
generic | 7bit | off
| |
MS-DOS | msdos | off
| |
--------------------------------------------------
Don't forget that you will need an archiver to pack
and unpack messages. For compatibility with the most
BBS you should choose Info-Zip's UNZIP 5.0 and ZIP 1.0.
These are available in source code form. Try Mac's Place
BBS (919) 891-1111. Do *NOT* use ZIP 1.9 becasue this
uses the "deflation" method which is incompatible with
most BBS zip archivers. Invoke zip/unzip with the -j
switch which will junk the path information from the
archives.
